MCC Windham Correctional Center
Lead Plumbing designer for new Maine Correctional Center jail buildings at the campus for men and women in Windham, ME. The housing building design included a sanitary vacuum system to minimize water usage and allow the facility to isolate nuisance flushing and reduce damage or downtime to clear lines. The administrative building included a commercial kitchen and laundry plant.
MGMC Hospital (Alfond Center for Health)
Lead Plumbing designer for new Maine General Medical Center Hospital in Augusta, ME. The design included all medical gas source equipment, alarm panels and all associated piping, sprinkler systems, rain (gray) water harvesting system for use in HVAC make-up, a commercial kitchen and laundry, a simulated natural gas plant using LP gas as the primary fuel, and solvent waste system.
GE Healthcare
Lead Process and Plumbing designer for a new plant for GE Healthcare in Schenectady, NY. The project included roughly 40,000 SF of cleanroom space as well as shipping/receiving, administrative and equipment spaces. The design included general plumbing, specialty gases (pyrophoric, toxic/corrosive, general purpose), specialty wastes (solvent, industrial, hydrofluoric), DI water system, Process Cooling Water systems and a tempered water loop for safety stations.
St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center
Performed a whole facility investigation of existing medical gas source equipment, piping, alarms, outlets and other devices for the purpose of creating a record drawing set of the facilities medical gas systems. Project included a report indicating deficiencies and equipment status. Provided a Water Management Plan to reduce Legionella risk as identified by the CDC. WMP included a risk assessment, control measures and testing protocols.
University of Southern Maine
Lead Plumbing designer for a new 8-story residence hall (Portland Commons) for USM in Portland, ME. The residence hall provided 580 beds which included a mix of single-occupancy, studio and multi-room style apartments designed to meet Passive House sustainability standards.
Paragon Medical
Process designer and project manager for a clean manufacturing facility of components used for medical procedures. The project included converting the “dirty” compressed air to Class 0 of ISO 8573-1, nitrogen system, pre-action fire protection system and general plumbing design.
